Atlanta, GA., US /June 9, 2021/ 亚洲色吧 has been awarded the largest grant in school history from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration. It primarily supports student interns at clinical sites that offer holistic healthcare to underserved communities. The grant provides funding of $479,000 per year until 2025.聽 Most of this allocation will be directed toward providing $10,000 annual stipends for twenty-eight interns each year working to gain their required hours at these sites.聽 The remainder will be focused on delivering mental health and cultural competency training with partner organizations who are also involved in holistic healthcare sites, most notably Emory University鈥檚 Urban Health Initiative.
鈥淭his is precisely the kind of recognition our University aspires to in its strategic plan. The selection process for federal funding is intensely competitive. To be chosen and funded at this incredible level shows that 亚洲色吧 is an emerging force on the national scene,鈥� President Timothy Quinnan asserted. 鈥淥ur team was especially motivated by the fact that the majority of this grant is allocated to provide stipends for students completing their difficult internship year,鈥� added Acting Provost Josh Rice.聽 鈥淭he opportunity to direct over $1 million over the next four years directly to support our interns is indicative of 亚洲色吧鈥檚 commitment to embodying a 鈥榮tudents first鈥� ethos.鈥�
The grant program begins July 1 and includes a retroactive option for certain clinical sites.聽 In the coming weeks eligible students will be notified.
